October 2025 Events

Greetings Doncaster Families! The forecast is perfect for a crisp, sun-filled walk to school led by Ms. Fawcett and Ms. Cox, our principal and vice-principal.
Over the next three days, they will leave from a different Doncaster neighbourhood meeting spot, starting tomorrow from King’s Pond. Meet up with other local families and learn your 1 km best walking route to school. (Children must be accompanied by their own responsible adult.)
Meeting spots & times:
See you on the path!
Wednesday Sept 24 Route from King’s Pond. Students & adults meet at King’s Pond parking lot.

Thursday September 25th Route from Wetherby Park. Students & adults meet in Wetherby Park. (It’s tiny!)

Friday Sept 26th Route from Browning Park. Students & adults meet in Browning Park near the area indicated on the map. (North-ish central end.)

We’re back! We hope you all had a good summer and are excited for another school year!
One way that Doncaster’s PAC supports our school community is by connecting classroom families. To opt-in to your child(ren)’s class contact list, please fill out this form. SD61 policy requires family consent to opt-in every year, even if you signed up previously.

The first DPAC meeting of the year will take place in the school library on Tuesday September 9 at 7pm (with a pre-meeting social at 6:30pm).

This year, the school is not bulk purchasing school supplies, and the PAC has not organized pre-ordered kits. Families are responsible for providing their own supplies.
Here is the approved school supply list (PDF) for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year (taken from the https://doncaster.sd61.bc.ca/ website).
Rifflandia has partnered with Doncaster to sell tickets to their annual music festival! Use the code DONCASTER15 at checkout and DPAC will receive 15% of the ticket sales! Pre-sale tickets go on sale today, May 2. The lineup will be announced on May 7 with regular tickets on sale May 9.

DONATE:
No time to sell yourself but still want to de-clutter? You can donate instead! DPAC will have a table available for you on Saturday morning to drop off your pre-owned treasures. We’re looking for clean, gently used clothing, toys, books, household goods, sports gear, games, and more — anything that could find a new home and help raise valuable funds for our kids and classrooms!
Why donate?
Because your once-loved items can help fund enrichment programs, classroom supplies, field trips, and so much more. Plus, it’s a win-win: you get to declutter, we get to raise money for our school, and our community gets to shop for a good cause!
Gonna be busy that Saturday but still want to help a great cause? No worries, this year we are collecting in the classroom for the entire month of May any gently used items we can sell to raise money to support a Refugee Sponsor to be re-united with his siblings here in Canada. What’s more Canadian then helping others? Bring your donations to your child’s class from May 1st to May 23rd to help Harold reach his goal. (Email DPAC for more information about this or come to the Yard Sale and check out all the exciting things associated with this spotlighted fundraiser – Raffle Prizes, Give Aways, Tax Deductible Receipts and more.)

Let’s make this the biggest and best yard sale and block party yet — we can’t do it without your support! Tell your neighbors, friends, and extended family too — the more, the merrier!
Thank you for helping us turn clutter into community magic!
With gratitude,
Your Enthusiastic Parent Fundraising Reps

Saturday April 5th, 10am to noon
We will be weeding and spreading woodchips in the garden.
If you have a rake, shovel or wheelbarrow please bring them along – if not, we have tools to share. Also, if you have a truck to take away garden waste that would be fantastic! Please contact Mrs. Abigail Bigam if you are able to come. We need to know if we have enough people to get the job done.
Last chance to order is Sunday March 23rd!
Join our campaign here to place your chocolate orders within the next six weeks. Share the link with others! https://fundraising.purdys.com/1502090-126062
Pick up date: ~Friday 4th April, TBC. (Two weeks before Easter long weekend).
As with past years, for those who’d like to keep their purchases away from school, there is an option for stealth bunny pick-up directly from the DPAC coordinator’s home in Cedar Hill.
