Donation Request – PAC Fundraising

Doncaster Parent Advisory Council (DPAC) respectfully invites you to support our ongoing fundraising efforts by making a one-time annual donation to the school. This donation is an easy way to contribute to a multitude of DPAC projects that enrich the experience of all Doncaster students.

Our focus over the current school year includes:

  • Indoor School Learning Project – DPAC will contribute $4,000. Projects include for example the purchase of six silent stationary classroom bikes.
  • Outdoor Learning Projects – DPAC will contribute $3,000. Projects include the school garden and developing other outdoor learning spaces.
  • Intermediate Playground – DPAC will set aside $5,000 this year towards the new playground fund to build up an even larger sum required to replace the old play structures before they require decommissioning.
  • Parent Education – this year we will have a workshop with Nikki Lineham on the “new math” as well as a presentation by Dr. Paul Mohapel on the impact of technology on the developing brain.
In addition, DPAC supports our school community on an ongoing basis via the following funding:

  • Class allotments – $15 per student; approximately $6,200 total.
  • School library – $3,500 DPAC.
  • Art and music resources and supplies – $2,600 budgeted this school year.
  • Playground equipment (balls, hula hoops, etc.) and bike racks.
  • Fun activities and events such as dances, movie night, and Fun Day.
  • Emergency preparedness supplies such as First-Aid training for Grade 5 students.
  • And more!
Donations are entirely voluntary and highly appreciated!
Donated funds are in the control of the DPAC. All parents are invited to each DPAC meeting, where you have the ability to influence how the money is spent.
